#TravelPH - Boracay Travel Guide 2022
As of February 1, 2022, Boracay lifted the RT-PCR requirement for tourists who would like to visit Boracay. Having said that, the island is still following safety protocols as mandated by the Philippine government to make sure that local transmission will not happen. Boracay government officials have set guidelines to follow if you wish to visit the island. Sharing you some pertinent information that will help you plan your trip.

1. Secure your flights to Boracay
Different local airlines offer direct flight from Manila to Godofredo P. Ramos Airport or Caticlan Airport. Make sure that you will book your flight to Caticlan as this is the designated point of entry.
2. Secure your Hotel Booking
To ensure safety and the quality of service, all travelers are required to pre-book in DOT-accredited hotels and resorts issued with a Certificate of Authority to Open. You can find the list of these accommodation establishments here: List of DOT Accredited Hotel in Boracay
3. Fill out Health Declaration Form
- Boracay local government requires ALL visitors to have the QR code for easy tagging to establishments you wish to visit when you're in the island. Here are the steps you need to follow:
- Access http://aklan.gov.ph and click the Online Health Declaration Card button on the right then choose Boracay in the “Where To?” page.
- Fill out the required fields and submit. A confirmation with instructions will be displayed.
- Save a copy of the Health Declaration Card (HDC) on your smartphone or have it printed.
4. Pack your bags and get ready!
When packing, be sure to pack your safety essentials like face masks, face shields, alcohol, wipes, etc. You may also check with your airline for any additional requirements they have for travelers. After that, you are now good to go!
Once you're in Boracay, make sure you follow these safety protocols:
QR Code
Tourists should always have a copy of their QR code whether through their smartphone or a printed physical copy. Hotels, restaurants and other facilities will require it as you enter their establishments for contact tracing.
Mask and Face shield
Visitors are required to wear proper safety gear (face mask) and practice physical distancing.
Transport Protocols
"No mask, No boarding” policy is strictly enforced and vehicles can only allow a maximum of three (3) passengers on tricycles and a maximum of 6 passengers on e-trikes. Drivers are provided with proper safety gear and the needed sanitization tools to disinfect the vehicle after every ride.
Dining Protocols
Customers dining in have to log down details for contact tracing. Restaurants should have temperature checks, practice social distancing, and other sanitizing products.
