Leader of the oil sector Petron Corporation sponsored the 2022 Highway Run last September 24, 2022, to enable big bikers celebrate 15 years of access to the expressways.

The event, which was started by the Mad Dog Motorcycle Club, honors the successful campaign to allow large displacement motorbikes with engines 400cc and larger to use the toll highways in the Philippines. On September 28, 2007, the Department of Transportation's Toll Regulatory Board approved the petition.

Participating motorcycle clubs received tokens at Petron San Pedro SLEX and Petron Pura Tarlac along the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) for this year's special remembrance. At the designated Petron stations, more than 500 bikers stopped by.

According to Mad Dog’s president, Dustin Andaya, “The two-wheel community appreciates the special focus of Petron, particularly in the products and services that are customized for our needs. For example, bikers can enjoy the exclusive motorcycle lane at Petron stations that makes fueling up safe and hassle-free. Also, they have developed products formulated for motorcycles.
