#CulturePH - DTI-BOI recognizes P&G Philippines with Pandemic Heroes Award
Procter & Gamble (P&G) Philippines receives the Pandemic Heroes Award from the Philippine Board of Investments (BOI), an agency of the Department of Trade and Industry, on October 5, 2022 during a ceremony held at the P&G Philippines office in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
The COVID-19 pandemic's early stages and its peak are when the DTI-Pandemic BOI's Heroes Award honors its partner stakeholders for meeting the nation's urgent needs. P&G gave PPEs purchased from local manufacturers to safeguard a number of frontline workers in hospitals and the government in addition to providing medical-grade facemasks, health and hygiene products made in their Cabuyao factory, and other support materials. The corporation continued to invest in the nation despite the pandemic and offered assistance to disadvantaged families in COVID-19 hotspots.

P&G has acted as a Force for Good and a Force for Growth since the COVID-19 pandemic began by defending frontline workers and communities, defending jobs, and supporting economic investments. P&G has contributed more than PHP 200 million to the government's response to the COVID-19 outbreak. This includes converting its manufacturing facility to produce and donate over 3 million medical-grade face masks to the Department of Health and frontline hospitals, growing to be the Department of Health's largest private partner in the nationwide education campaign "BIDA Solusyon sa COVID-19" launched with the US Agency for International Development, immunizing over 52,000 people through the Philippine Red Cross' "Bakuna Buses," donating P&G health and hygiene products, and constructing health facilities.
