#CulturePH - UnionBank teams up with Noel Bazaar creator to help participating merchants digitize transactions
Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) and Cut Unlimited, Inc., the company behind the venerable Noel Bazaar, have teamed together just in time for the holiday shopping season to encourage cashless payments and give customers a better and more pleasurable Christmas shopping experience.
The agreement, which was formally announced during a signing ceremony on October 6 at the UnionBank Plaza in Pasig City, supports UnionBank's advocacy program "Tech-UP Pilipinas," which aims to support the nation's micro, small, and medium-sized firm sector.
By granting access to its award-winning online banking tools to the participating businesses, UnionBank will assist in making payments for customers at the bazaar simpler and more convenient. Customers can then use these to make digital payments for their purchases, enabling smoother transactions.
"In the advent of digitalization, it is of keen importance for the Noel Bazaar team to support our merchants in learning how to connect with their consumers through the ways of doing business in this new digital-first ecosystem," said Cut Unlimited, Inc. President Mayose Gozon-Bautista.
"This is the first time for UnionBank to ever partner with an event like Noel Bazaar, and we are very excited to learn more so that we can improve ourselves for merchants and retail buyers, not just on a day-to-day basis but also during special occasions," said UnionBank's SME and Micropreneurs Segment Head Jaypee Soliman.
"We are very excited because 2022 is a comeback year for many people and we want this to be "revenge Christmas," and what better way to do that than with a partner which is an iconic Christmas bazaar," said UnionBank Chief Marketing Officer Albert Cuadrante.
For those who are interested in visiting this year's Noel Bazaar, it will take place from November 11 to December 18 and will be held in three different venues: Okada Manila (November 11 to 13), The World Trade Center in Pasay City (November 25 to 30), and the Filinvest Tent in Alabang (November 18 to 20 and December 16 to 18).
