#FinancePH - Jollibee, now accepting Visa card payments in the Philippines, launches ‘Tap-Sarap with Visa’ promotion powered by Maya Business
About 1,000 Jollibee locations around the country now accept cashless payments thanks to a partnership between the fast food giant, Jollibee and Visa, a global leader in electronic payments. Jollibee is now taking credit card payments in physical stores in the Philippines for the first time. Through the "Tap-Sarap with Visa" initiative run by Maya Business, Visa and Jollibee are spreading the love as a way to recognize their collaboration.
Customers who spend a minimum of PHP 500 on meals using a Visa prepaid, debit, or credit card at any participating Jollibee location in the Philippines between February 15 and March 1, 2023, will receive one of the following freebies: Tuna pie, Peach Mango Pie, Joyful Spaghetti, or the Cheesy Yumburger. The promotion is applicable to dine-in, take-out, and drive-through transactions.
The partnership reflects the growing preference of Filipinos for cashless payments. Visa’s latest Consumer Payment Attitudes Study, which was conducted with 1,000 Filipino respondents in August to September 2021, showed that 84 percent have already tried going cashless in 2021, with 60 percent carrying less cash in their wallets.
This study also found that of the various cashless payment options, card payments (both online and at physical merchants) continue to be one of the more preferred options.
