#MusicPH - Nicole Laurel Asensio Releases Her Newest Song, Kiss Me Now!
Multi-talented and multi-awarded artist NICOLE LAUREL ASENSIO is all set to release her latest single "KISS ME NOW." The original composition will be released on all digital platforms this September 15, 2023.
Kiss Me Now, like most of their songs which usually stem from improv jams, is a product of an improv with an entire band of talented Baguio based musicians in one of Nicole's random Baguio trip. Nicole usually do a random trip just to change her environment and get creative inspiration from it.
Gabe Dandan who was a producer of several of Nicole's songs (Bawal and What Matters Most to name a few) was able to collaborate with an award winning producer Shadiel Chan and welcomed them into his studio together with his band. Melodies began to flow and the synergy was instant! The poof! Kiss Me Now was created.
Krina Cayabyab was gracious enough to arranged backup vocals performed by by premiere jazz group Baihana with additional vocals from Iwi Laurel (Nicole's mom) and Gabe. Michael Guevarra and Gabe recorded a synchronised guitar-sax solo from the comforts of their home. The track was mastered by multi-awarded recording engineer Angee Rozul and Mastered in Abbey Road UK by Alex Gordon.
A soulful, syrupy, melancholy ballad called "Kiss me now" was written and recorded almost entirely on the spot. The lyrics express the intensity of ultimately giving in to a first kiss, mirroring its spontaneous character. Nicole's silky vocals, which has strength, range, and evocative sensitivities, float over scales. The song is sealed with a kiss by the instruments and backup vocal lines, which play within the textures of gospel and soul influences and display flavorful chord choices and rich deep tones.
The largest mixed-media art museum in the nation, Art in Island, served as the location for the music video. —Its 15 zones offer countless options for exploration and discovery.
Nicole Laurel Asensio's team is planning to have a launch of "Kiss Me Now" by mid-October.
