#TechPH - Celebrate Creativity: OPPO Imagine IF Photography Awards 2024 Winners Announced

If you love capturing life’s beautiful moments, you’ll be thrilled to hear about the winners of the OPPO Imagine IF Photography Awards 2024. This global competition, celebrating creativity and innovation in mobile photography, has just announced its winners, and the results are nothing short of spectacular.

A Global Celebration of Creativity

Launched in January and closing for submissions in July, the competition saw over 1 million entries from 81 countries and regions, including top contributors from China, India, Mexico, Colombia, and Egypt. The winning works will be showcased at Paris Photo, the largest international art fair, this November. How exciting is that?

Capturing Cherished Emotions

This year, fifteen talented photographers were honored with Master, Silver, and Bronze Awards. The Master Award went to Liang Xibing for his evocative piece, ‘Summer by Hutuo River,’ which beautifully captures the fleeting joy of childhood with masterful use of light and movement. As the OPPO Imagine IF Master, Liang Xibing will receive a grand prize of USD 24,000 and be appointed as an OPPO Photographer, enjoying priority access to various OPPO events.

The Silver Award winner, He Huapei, captured a touching bond between a child and her toy in ‘Wandou and Her Teddy Bear,’ showcasing OPPO’s advances in mobile imaging. The Bronze Award went to Shailendra Singh for ‘The Peaceful Bond,’ a photograph that resonated with the judges for its imaginative space and emotional depth.

Honorable Mentions: Celebrating Diversity

The competition also recognized 36 Honorable Mentions across nine categories, including Landscape, Portrait, Colours, Unfading Moment, Fashion, Snapshot, Light, Travel, and Collection. These works pushed the boundaries of mobile photography, from vivid landscapes to intimate moments. For the first time, five Youth Special Awards were introduced to celebrate the inspiring talents of the emerging generation.
