According to the survey, a whopping 70% of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in APAC are expecting a boost in sales this holiday season. Even more exciting, nearly 80% of this growth is anticipated to come from within Asia, especially Southeast Asia. This region has seen a surge in e-commerce, driven by increased digital adoption and cross-border trade. In fact, intra-Asia trade is projected to surpass $13.5 trillion by 2030!

E-commerce Dominance: Over half of consumers prefer shopping on e-commerce platforms, with 70% motivated by festive discounts and promotions. Events like Double Eleven, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday are major drivers of this trend.

Free Delivery: It’s a big deal! 65% of shoppers are more likely to complete their purchases if free shipping is offered. However, late deliveries are a top concern, with 54% of consumers citing it as their biggest issue.

Sustainability Matters: Consumers are increasingly looking for sustainable shopping options. A significant 88% want businesses to adopt more eco-friendly practices, and 77% are willing to pay extra for sustainable packaging.

FedEx’s Role in the Festive Rush

FedEx is playing a crucial role in helping businesses meet these demands. With their extensive network and smart digital solutions, they’re empowering SMEs to deliver exceptional customer experiences. For instance, their Ship Manager platform integrates with popular e-commerce sites like Shopify and BigCommerce, making order fulfillment a breeze.

To ensure speedy deliveries, FedEx offers services like FedEx® International Connect Plus (FICP), which typically delivers shipments within one to three business days. They’ve also set up around 260,000 smart lockers across APAC for secure deliveries, even when customers aren’t home.
