Engkanto Taps, the first-ever taproom of Engkanto Brewery, is now open in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, just in time for the festive holiday season. This new hotspot is set to delight craft beer enthusiasts with its fresh brews and vibrant atmosphere.

At Engkanto Taps, you can enjoy the finest and award-winning Engkanto craft beers at their freshest. This includes the remarkably smooth High Hive Honey Ale, which was crowned the World's Best Beer in its category at the World Beer Awards 2024, and the delectable Paint Me Purple Ube Lager, a favorite in the US and Australia.
Exciting Beer Infusions and Food Pairings
“We believe opening Engkanto Taps is the best way to directly share the fantastic craft experience with the growing craft community in the country,” shares Ian Paradies, Founder of Engkanto. The taproom not only highlights their exceptional beers but also showcases how well they pair with a curated menu of delicious dishes.
Chef Luis de Terry has crafted a mouthwatering selection of bar chow starters, barbecue skewers, and artisanal sauces. Some must-try pairings include Croqueta Gonzalez, a spicy chili-con beef in creamy potato balls, Yiken' Inasal sa Gata, a twist on the classic Bacolod skewer, and Gambas Engkantadas, a savory shrimp dish made with Live It Up Lager. Even the sauces, like the Engkanto Ale Mustard for the Sausage Party platter, incorporate their signature beers.
Creative Cocktails with a Twist
Adding a unique twist to the drinking experience, Engkanto Taps offers reimagined classic cocktails infused with the distinct flavors of their beers. Try the Nutty & Nice-presso, a creamy take on the espresso martini with Nutty & Nice Choco-Nut Stout, or the Sampa-Loca Highball, featuring a zesty mix of Green Lava Double IPA and agave syrup.
A Laidback Atmosphere
“It’s been a long time coming,” says Michael 'MJ' Jordan, Brewmaster of Engkanto. “I live in the area around Sta. Rosa and there's really no place to go when you want to unwind in the evening after 9 PM or 10 PM. So now at Taps, we get to enjoy a laidback atmosphere with awesome people over great beer and food.”
Freshest Beer Flavors on Tap
Craft beer lovers will be thrilled with the wide selection of 12 beers on tap, featuring Engkanto’s core lineup and limited-release brews. Newbies can opt for the beer flight, which offers a sampling of four different beers in smaller portions, perfect for exploring different styles without committing to a full pint. Additionally, a “guest tap” is in the works to promote other local breweries and introduce more people to diverse brews.
“For us at Engkanto, the best way to offer the perfect craft beer experience is at Taps,” says Ricard Basora, Managing Director of Engkanto. “Everything about great local craft beers is here, plus the unique cocktails and complementing food. All that you want from the liquid gold that makes us happy were incorporated really well. It's so exciting to launch this new line of taprooms we have because we’re also looking at opening in Metro Manila really soon.”
