Eric Alberto, the CEO of DITO Telecommunity, shared the exciting news during their year-end thanksgiving event. "I'm honored to share with all of you that Opensignal awarded DITO as the Fastest Mobile Network in the Philippines. These milestones are not just accomplishments; they reflect DITO's dedication and the strength and reliability of our network," he said.
According to Opensignal's October 2024 Mobile Network Experience report, DITO has excelled in numerous categories, making it the most awarded and fastest in 5G speeds and overall experience. With a 5G download speed of 287.2 Mbps, DITO nearly doubles Smart's 147.5 Mbps and easily surpasses Globe's 95.2 Mbps. Overall, DITO users enjoy the fastest download speeds at 34.6 Mbps, with Smart and Globe trailing behind.
A Year of Milestones
2024 has been a breakout year for DITO. Not only did they pass their fifth and final technical audit with 86.3% coverage, but they also capped off the year with 14 million subscribers. DITO has won back-to-back Ookla awards as the #1 Mobile Network in the country for Q3-Q4 2023 and Q1-Q2 2024. Now, with the Fastest Mobile Network award from Opensignal, DITO is making significant strides in the Philippine telco landscape.
