#TheaterPH - CCP Pasinaya Expands to New Regions: Discover the Cultural Extravaganza!

Get ready for an exciting cultural journey as the CCP Pasinaya Open House Festival, the country's biggest multi-arts festival, expands its reach to new regions for its 19th edition. This year, the festival will bring its vibrant celebration to Batangas, Sorsogon, Himamaylan, Iloilo City, and Tagum City on February 1 and 2, 2025.

A Cultural Feast in Luzon

For the Luzon leg, CCP Pasinaya will light up multiple locations in Batangas and Sorsogon. Batangas, a new partner this year, will showcase its unique cultural heritage with festivities centered at the Marble Terrace inside the capitol compound in Batangas City. The celebration kicks off with a lively parade and opening ceremony, "CCP Pasinaya: Insay Na Dine Sa Batangas," featuring local performers and culminating in an exciting finale, Gabing Ala Eh.

In Sorsogon, another new partner, the festival will host various activities and performances at venues like the provincial gym, the Cultural Center of Sorsogon, and the Museo Sorsogon. Expect a dynamic showcase of Bicol's rich cultural traditions!

Visayas and Mindanao Join the Fun

Following a successful partnership last year, the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (ILOMOCA) returns with more exciting events for the Visayan leg. On February 1, ILOMOCA will host workshops, demonstrations, and live performances, offering something for every art enthusiast. Don't miss the special exhibitions like "Timplada: Creative Culinary Expressions" and "La Vita nell'Arte," celebrating Ilonggo cuisine and European-inspired art.

Himamaylan City in Negros Occidental, another new partner, will kick off its celebration with a lively parade through the city's public plaza. The festivities will continue across key locations, featuring murals at cultural landmarks and performances from local groups, highlighting the city's rich culture and artistry.

Tagum City in Davao del Norte returns for the Mindanao leg, bringing vibrant demonstrations, performances, and workshops that showcase the diverse art forms of talented local artists.

A Festival of Art and Innovation

Originally created in 2005 by former CCP Artistic Director Chris Millado, the CCP Pasinaya has grown into a major venue for art appreciation, education, networking, and collaborations. This year, the festival continues to feature highly anticipated programs like the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival and the Virgin Labfest, celebrating the creative talents of Filipino filmmakers and playwrights.
