#CulturePH - Bringing Light and Hope: SM Cares Partners with Global Peace Foundation to Empower Sustainable Communities

On February 14, 2025, a significant step was taken at the SM Prime Headquarters. Jocelyn Remigio, Program Director for Community Development at GPF, Leonard Faustino, Executive Director of GPF Philippines, Joaquin San Agustin, Executive Vice President for Marketing, and Engr. Junias Eusebio, Vice President for Mall Operations of SM Supermalls, came together to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This formalized their commitment to bringing sustainable energy solutions to underserved areas, one village at a time.
Lighting Up Lives
The All Lights Village project is an innovative initiative by GPF Philippines aimed at improving the quality of life for families in rural areas without electricity. By providing solar lighting, educational resources, and livelihood opportunities, this project is not just about lighting homes—it's about illuminating futures.
A Shared Vision
SM Cares, the corporate social responsibility arm of SM Supermalls, is playing a crucial role in this mission. They are providing spaces in SM Aura, SM Megamall, and SM Mall of Asia for fundraising booths dedicated to the All Lights Village project. The funds raised will directly support the initiative, enabling more families to benefit from solar lighting, better education, and sustainable livelihoods.
Joaquin San Agustin expressed the importance of this collaboration, saying, “SM Cares is proud to support the All Lights Village project and its mission of empowering communities through sustainable development.
