A Story of Perseverance and Love

Lyrically, "Ipagpatawad Mo" draws inspiration from a real-life story that bassist Regit encountered during his time as a barber. "This is based on a story of a client of mine back when I was working in a barbershop during college," Regit reveals. "He was a humble guy competing against a wealthy suitor for the heart of a woman he adored. Though her family favored the other man, he won her over through perseverance, humor, and his talent for dancing. That became the heart of the song."

A Sneak Peek into the Upcoming Album

"Ipagpatawad Mo" marks the first official single off Ame’s highly anticipated debut album, "Kwentong Barbero." This album is a collection of eight tracks, each inspired by stories Regit has heard over the years while cutting hair. The album promises a gritty yet heartfelt narrative that captures tales of love, struggle, and triumph through the lens of rock n' roll.
