Acclaimed singer-songwriter Johnoy Danao is set to host his highly anticipated first solo concert, Liwayway at Dapithapon, on March 14-15, 2025, at the Metropolitan Theater (MET) in Manila. This event promises to be a celebration of his remarkable 25-year career, featuring special guests who have played a significant role in his musical journey.

Special Guests to Light Up the Stage

Joining Johnoy Danao on this special occasion are some of the most talented artists in the industry:

• Clara Benin: The acclaimed singer-songwriter known for her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics.
• GABBA: The prolific post-rock artist whose music transcends genres.
• Kakoy Legaspi: The seasoned musician and long-time collaborator of Danao.

Clara Benin and GABBA will perform on the first day of the concert, while Kakoy Legaspi will reunite with Danao on the second day. Each guest has been handpicked by Danao himself, highlighting their importance as collaborators and real-life friends.

This two-day concert is not just a performance; it’s a celebration of Johnoy Danao’s work and career. Recognizing the support of young fans, minsan studio head Jason Conanan has introduced a special promo for students. “We believe that young people are the key to long-term careers of the artists,” shares Conanan. “They are the most active fans, but often have limited financial capacity. This initiative is our way of showing appreciation for their efforts.”

The studio started with pay-what-you-can gigs, understanding that a student’s PHP 100 might be their savings for the day, while to an adult, it’s just another coffee. This approach helps bridge the gap and makes the concert accessible to everyone.
